Mark Zampetti

Although my family has been a musical inspiration for me, my father being an organist and my brother a contraltist, my entry into music was not immediate. In fact, the first time I tried playing bass guitar dates back to 1989, when one of my best friends introduced me to the discography of a certain Yngwie J. Malmsteen. Later he asked me to replace the bassist of his band named “LIAR” which became my first musical project.
The LIAR project ended in 1997, then I decided to move to Milan to pursue the dream of becoming famous as a bassist. My inspirations come from classical music of the Baroque period, from Y.J. Malmsteen and Billy Sheehan.
After various musical experiences, at the beginning of the 2000s I joined Perpetual Fire which was, is and will be my most important musical project and which has given me a lot of satisfaction with several records and live performances.
Even today, after more than 30 years of activity, music accompanies me every day and the enthusiasm for new projects is always great.
My big dream yet to be realized? Studying and playing the cello too… Stay tuned!
